Oak Framed Buildings from Oak–Apple Frames Ltd.
Established in 1999, we are a small, family-run oak framing company based in Somerset, South–West UK, who specialise in the design and construction of all types of oak–framed buildings, oak framed garages etc.
The directors and founders James Fraser-Harris and Andrew Crabb have come to oak–framing through different routes. Andrew has nearly 20 years experience of restoring old oak–framed buildings and building new oak frames. James, originally a furniture-maker, has been running a sawmill specialising in oak and other native hardwoods for the last 22 years.
We have developed a characteristic Oak–Apple Style incorporating the natural grain and shape of the oak into designs, maximising the strength and astheatic appeal of all our oak–framed buildings.
