***News***
*** Oak-Apple Frames featured on the front cover of "The Eco-House Manual" by Nigel Griffiths (available from all good book-shops and online at amazon)***
*** At the moment we're too busy building frames to have the chance to go round and photograph more of our completed projects, plus the photographer is running a watersports centre near London at the moment! However, we'll get them done as soon as possible!***
***Our apprentice Hayden was featured in the Somerset County Gazette as a recipient of a grant through the Silvanus Trust "Woodworks Project". He has been working hard, both in the workshop and at college, and is proving a real asset to the company.***
Established in 1999, we are a small company based in Somerset who specialise in the design and construction of traditional Oak-framed buildings.
The two founders, James Fraser-Harris and Andrew Crabb have come to timber-framing through different routes. Andrew has over 14 years experience of restoring old timber buildings and building new ones, while James, originally a furniture-maker, has been running a sawmill specialising in native hardwoods for the last 18 years.
We build anything from barns to boathouses and from log-stores to mansions. So if you have a project in mind that can be built in Oak... You need an O.A.F!!
Inside an OAF extension near Taunton.
Our Home Office is now finished!!! It makes a fantastic place to talk about your plans. It is also an example of how the home offices can be finished. Due to the demand for larger frames we've decided that we can't offer the Home Office as a completed unit. However, we'll happily supply the Oak frames.
NB. All pictures in the subsequent pages are "thumbnails". When you click on one of these images the full-size picture will be displayed in a new window. This means that you can continue looking at the main page in the old window while the photo downloads. Each photo shouldn't take more than about 20 seconds. |
